Accessibility Statement
Last updated: March 2024

This accessibility statement applies to www.gortonstudio.co.uk

This website is run by Neill Gorton Prosthetics Studio Ltd. Our aim is for as many people as possible to be able to use it, and for all users to access the information presented in the video lessons successfully. To this end, each video lesson has a spoken voiceover with adjustable sound level, as well as a downloadable written transcript of each voiceover in PDF format.

To assist you in accessing our site and its content you should be able to:

  • change the brightness using browser or device settings
  • zoom in significantly on website pages without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website’s general written content using a screen reader
  • adjust the volume of video content using the video player’s sound tool, or browser/device settings
  • enter and exit full screen mode during lesson videos on any device using the website’s video player toolbar
  • pause, jump forwards and backwards, and restart lesson videos using the website’s video player toolbar

We’ve also made the website’s general text as simple as possible to understand. As it is an educational site however, it does contain technical information and technical language, all of which is explained in the video lessons’ spoken voiceovers, and in writing in the downloadable transcript PDFs of these voiceovers.

Advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability can be found at https://abilitynet.org.uk
