We’re excited to see 2019 Oscar-nominee and exceptional prosthetics artist GÖRAN LUNDSTRÖM will be an educator at #TPE2019!
One of the industry’s true technical innovators, Göran runs Effektstudion in Stockholm, Sweden, one of the biggest and most internationally renowned studios for makeup, creature and animatronic effects in Scandinavia. He works regularly on big Hollywood productions and has worked with a number of the industry’s role models such as 7-time Oscar winner Rick Baker, the legendary Stan Winston Studio and ground-breaking company Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
Earlier this year Göran was Oscar-nominated for his incredible makeup designs for the film ‘Border’ with Pamela Goldammer. His list of credits is extensive with some highlights being ‘True Detective’ and ‘Genius’ on TV, and on film: ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters’, ‘Cloud Atlas’, ‘Wrath of the Titans’, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’, ‘X-Men: First Class’, ‘Clash of the Titans’, The Wolfman’ and ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian’.
Göran’s also been profiled in a number of articles in Prosthetics Magazine: in Issue 4 he wrote about his experiments with pre-painting encapsulated silicone prosthetics, in Issues 9 and 12 he was interviewed with Davina Lamont on the extensive convincing prosthetics in National Geographic’s anthology period drama series ‘Genius’, and in Issue 13 he discusses the amazing work he did on ‘Border’, resulting in that Oscar nomination.
Göran will be on stage as well as well as demoing on the Neill’s Materials‘ stand – look out for stage schedules near the event to find out when and where to see him.
