Our latest 7-week Makeup FX and Prosthetics Creation course in Aylesbury just finished last week – and the students did a great job!
Our flagship course focusses on the fundamental processes involved in creating prosthetics, from basic sculpture techniques to prosthetic manufacture, mould making, casting and can include – as in this case – simple animatronics. The course culminates in a final project of each student’s choice, devised to involve the processes that will be most useful on their intended career path. These projects are really important because they showcase the skills the students have learnt and are likely to be their first key portfolio piece for seeking work – and our photographer works with each student to make sure they have the images they need!
The 7-week course teaches to the level of junior industry artist/technician, and graduates can seek industry work at that level as soon as they leave. The course also teaches to a higher level than degree courses in just 7 weeks, thanks to its intensity and expert level of tuition.
Meanwhile enjoy the fantastic work of Gorton Studio Makeup FX and Prosthetics Creation June 2019 graduates!
